Tractor ignition switches are typically key-operated, multi-position devices that rotate through specific stages: “Off,” “Accessory,” “On/Run,” and “Start.” The “Start” position is spring-loaded to prevent the starter from engaging continuously after the engine has fired. • Positions & Terminals: The number of switch positions (e.g., 3-position “Off-On-Start” or 4-position “Off-Acc-On-Start”) and the terminal configuration must match the original equipment to ensure correct functionality.
